The Catholic Church is a Cult!
Really though, it is. According to dictionary.com a cult is “a particular system of religious worship, especially with reference to its rites and ceremonies”. People typically use “cult” to describe a religious group that goes against the norm. However, people also forget that at one point in history, roughly 2000 years ago, Christianity was considered a “cult”.
